Yair Neuman

Driven by sustainability and innovation, Yair Neuman works towards minimum environmental impact solutions in conceptual design and eyewear. Reducing waste is fundamental to Yair’s practice, demonstrated through his invention of DELEREX®: a unique material made from repurposed demo lenses discarded by the eyewear industry.

Yair’s striking Lens Light series beautifully showcases the materials’ origins. The distinctive collection celebrates the reinvention of ‘waste’, saving the lenses from incineration and transforming them into exquisite and valuable design pieces. The translucent white lights are imbued with enchanting pearly blues, greens and pinks, creating enhanced iridescent reflections.

The breadth of Yair’s work extends beyond lighting to sculpture, furniture and installations. As an innovator, readaptation is key, offering exciting possibilities for commissions and creative projects.

Yair conceived eyewear brand Wires Glasses and has produced work for notable brands including Samsung and LG. He studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven, Netherlands, and Ravensbourne University, London. Yair is currently the creative director of French eyewear brand Maison Bourgeat, est.1879.
